One Nation Under (the Judgment of) God
Something happened on June 26, 2015 that changed the course of America. Obama lit up the White House with the rainbow celebrating the Supreme Court Decision ruling on same sex marriage. He said this, it was “a moment worth savoring” and that it was a “good thing”.
I remember I was crying and sobbing and I cried out to the Lord to forgive us. I heard the distinct voice of the Lord give me a Scripture and it was this:
Psalm 119:126 It is time for You to act, O Lord, For they have [a]regarded Your law as void.
We are a nation under the judgment of God. The marriage covenant between a man and a woman is one of the first laws and covenants of God, it is His and it belongs to Him: God made them male and female and “a man shall leave his father and mother and cling to his wife”.
Isaiah 24:5 The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, Because they have transgressed the laws,
Changed the ordinance, Broken the everlasting covenant.
What people do not understand is when the supreme court and Obama upheld gay marriage as good this became the law of the land- even if you do not agree with it. This law pumps its fist in the face of God and proclaims, “We defy the living God”, breaking the everlasting covenant. The president and the White house represent America. This is the place where our laws are made that rule our land.
America has been blessed and under the protective hand of the Lord because our land, our laws, our constitution were founded upon God’s word. Our laws used to be a reflection of the laws of God.
From 2019: Christianity’s geographic gravitational center is moving. And it’s going away from the West. Now, a dramatic new shift is happening: Christianity, on average worldwide, has moved from the West to the Majority World—also known as the Global South or the Two-Thirds World. Whereas 99 percent of Christians lived in North America and Europe in the year 1800, today less than 30 percent live in these two continents.
in 2010 the U.S. sent out one out of every four missionaries—-127,000 of the world’s estimated 400,000 missionaries. And we have slowly decreased from there, where America no longer sends out the most missionaries. I believe 9/11 was a wake up call for our nation to repent. But we did not see repentance, but rather a doubling down in our ways. The church came together for a brief moment, but it did not repent and instead continued to preach a feel good gospel and it has only increased in apathy, cowardice and unrighteousness.
The church should have been the city on a hill, illuminating the light into the darkness. But she silently sunk into the world for either fear of man, success and fame or just apathetic. Like the church during the time of the Holocaust, she did nothing, but remained silent- so the church in America has remained silent while the enemy has pushed his agenda on America. The church should not have been silent during the abortion years. Since 2000- 378,181,000 recorded abortions.
America used to regard the Lord’s day. Most restaurants and stores were closed on Sundays.
The military used to punish adultery. We used to protect the sanctity of the marriage covenant.
What’s with the sin of homosexuality? Isn’t all the sin the same? All sin is NOT the same!!!
Degrees of sin: Sins of ignorance less severe than willful sin. The Pentateuch lists 42 types of sin that required the death penalty, while some sins required only a burnt offering, and others required a fine be paid to the one who was sinned against. All sin can be forgiven, but all sin is not the same
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body [a]and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Once a nation that has been so blessed and favored by the Lord reaches a certain point of sin, God removes His hand.
Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.
Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a [a]reproach to any people.
We no longer are a “live and let live” society, but a nation that celebrates perversity like that of Sodom. Sodom did not just tolerate sexual immorality, it was celebrated
Genesis 19:13 For we will destroy the city completely. The stench of the place has reached to heaven and God has sent us to destroy it.” (TLB)
How do I know we are under judgment? I will show you. Judgment is not the same as the wrath of God. His wrath is being reserved for a specific time in history. All nations are subject to judgment depending on how they respond to the law of God. In Isaiah we have a record of what a nation looks like under the judgment of God: (I will go through most of Isaiah 3 NKJV)
3 For behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, Takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah The[a] stock and the store, The whole supply of bread and the whole supply of water; 2 The mighty man and the man of war, The judge and the prophet, And the diviner and the elder; 3 The captain of fifty and the [b]honorable man, The counselor and the skillful artisan, And the expert enchanter.
These represent the chief supports of life. Reduction in the food supply chain. There is a reduction in military might, and absence of masculinity, absence of the builders (the blue-collar workers that make up a society), an absence of justice and wisdom.
Meat processing plants shut down in 2020 (blame it on Trump and climate changes). The meat industry forecast for 2023 predicts a significant decrease in the supply of beef, leading to higher prices for everyone. I saw fields of corn destroyed
Military-The number of young Americans wanting to enlist is near a record low, a deficit not seen in almost half a century. In 2022, for example, the US Army fell short of its recruitment target by 25 percent. Military commercials support homosexual lifestyle
Lack of Godly justice- The left is pushing their agenda hard, CRT, intersectionality, hate speech, women and the LGBTQ community reveals a complete lack of balanced scales. Our justice system is being destroyed. WE had a few wins from the Supreme Court, but this agenda is being pushed hard in our schools and universities, This next generation will suffer the most
Absence of wisdom- When a boy says he is a girl and majority of the people agree with him, there is a complete lack of wisdom in society. 19% identify as LGBTQ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom- lack of the fear of God
Absence of masculinity- masculinity is attacked and being called “toxic”. Men are under attack. Everything that makes masculinity sacred — valor, honor, chivalry, leadership — is under siege.
“I will give children[c] to be their princes, And [d]babes shall rule over them. 5 The people will be oppressed, Every one by another and every one by his neighbor; The child will be insolent toward the [e]elder, And the [f]base toward the honorable.”
AN absence of respect and honor. Children will rule and oppress their elders. We live in a society that is allowing 5 year olds to determine their gender. Teens are more disrespectful than I have ever seen. Parents allow their children to dictate what they will do, parents have given up their authority over their children. I just saw an article today of how more children are divorcing their parents
8 For Jerusalem stumbled, And Judah is fallen, Because their tongue and their doings Are against the Lord, To provoke the eyes of His glory. 9 The look on their countenance witnesses against them,
And they declare their sin as Sodom; They do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought evil upon themselves.
They declare their sin as Sodom- a celebration of sexual immorality. Perverse sin is paraded. It is also interesting to note that when a righteous king ruled, he cast out all the male prostitutes.
“as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” Jude 1:7 NKJV
No society can long endure that takes a loose view of sex. That’s a proven historical fact. Edward Gibbon, in his book The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire, listed the causes of the fall of Rome in order of their importance. Number one on the list was sexual immorality. In fact, it led to the downfall of Greece, Egypt, and Babylon.
Sexual immorality and perversity is the enemy of the home; and the enemy of the home is the enemy of the nation. In America we see the existence of a God-centered Christian home, the nuclear family as an institution, quickly disappearing.
12 As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you [i]cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.”
Children oppress and women rule- this is a sign of judgment. We have seen a turn in the US. Men have given over their authority to women and women usurp the man’s authority to rule. I am not saying women cannot be leaders, but Scripture makes it clear that man is the head of the woman. We can see how feminism has helped to destroy marriages and families- 85% of divorces in 2019 were initiated by the woman.
Those in leadership positions lead us astray, destroying the paths of righteousness. We are in a nation that calls evil good and calls good evil. The Christian and the family unit are under a full frontal assault. Biden has brought in ungodliness at an extraordinary level. I have never seen the Word of God under attack like it is. THIS IS A SIGN OF JUDGMENT
16 Moreover the Lord says: “Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, And walk with [l]outstretched necks And [m]wanton eyes, Walking and [n]mincing as they go, Making a jingling with their feet,
17 Therefore the Lord will strike with a scab The crown of the head of the daughters of Zion,
And the Lord will uncover their secret parts.”
This next portion is a metaphor for the church- “daughters of ZION”. Zion was the place of the temple and the city of God.
The church is worldly and adorned with the world’s clothing. I am so tired of seeing cleavage with a Scripture reference. She is immodest and shameless, claiming grace but acting like Jezebel.
Because of grace, the Church is haughty and proclaims, “we are not under the judgment of God”
The Lord will reveal her secret parts- over the past few years God has been uncovering and revealing sin in the worldly and celebrity megachurches. He is exposing sin and refining the church- separating the wheat from the chaff. He is removing the luxurious items- stripping those churches of their clothing and adornment.
24 And so it shall be: Instead of a sweet smell there will be a stench; Instead of a sash, a rope;
Instead of well-set hair, baldness; Instead of a rich robe, a girding of sackcloth; And [p]branding instead of beauty. 25 Your men shall fall by the sword, And your [q]mighty in the war. 26 Her gates shall lament and mourn, And she being desolate shall sit on the ground.
So what do we do?
In the midst of pronouncing these things on His people, the Lord gives hope in v. 10
“Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.”
Like the prophet Jeremiah and Daniel- we have to go through the judgment with our nation, but we have hope and trust in the Lord that He will keep us safe, secure and well fed. The righteous eat the fruit of obedience. Those who know and seek the Lord understand the purpose of judgment- to bring people to repentance and to cry out to HIM for help
Proverbs 28:5 “Evil men do not understand justice (or judgment), but those who seek the Lord understand all (things).
Get your house in order. Parents, discipline and train your kids. Kids do not rule the home. This is out of order. Fathers, love your wives and lead your family in the ways of the Lord. Women, submit to your husbands as unto the Lord. Children obey your parents. The rebellion you allow in your home is your fault.
Break up the fallow ground. In time of judgment, the Lord tells His people to get things right.
Hosea 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground,
For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.
Jeremiah 4:3 For thus says the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem: “Break up your [a]fallow ground,
And do not sow among thorns.
The expression, “Break up your fallow ground” means, “Do not sow your seed among thorns”, i.e., break off all your evil habits; clear your hearts of weeds, in order that they may be prepared for the seed of righteousness. Land was allowed to lie fallow that it might become more fruitful; but when in this condition, it soon became overgrown with thorns and weeds. The cultivator of the soil was careful to “break up” his fallow ground, i.e., to clear the field of weeds, before sowing seed in it. So says the prophet, “Break off your evil ways, repent of your sins, cease to do evil, and then the good seed of the word will have room to grow and bear fruit.”
Get rid of all bitterness. Fix conflicts, repent and forgive. Get out of apathy and complacency. Rid your heart of jealousy, coveting, lust and selfish pride. Live above reproach. Do away with pet sins. Don’t give the scoffers anything to accuse you of.
Walk in wisdom. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Acts 6:15 And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel.
All the accusations against Stephen were confounded by the wisdom of his answers
Ecclesiastes 8:1 Who is like a wise man? And who knows the interpretation of a thing?
A man’s wisdom makes his face shine, And the [a]sternness of his face is changed.
Colossians 4:5-6 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
Get planted. Remember our teaching on root balls? Root balls will bud in the sack, but it cannot last long term. Get planted in the house. Get planted with the people God has called you into the Body with. I believe in God’s plan and purpose for our lives- but it is only as we stay in connection with the Body. Individual Christianity is not Scriptural.
I think it is interesting to note that the only people saved through the flood were those who helped build the Ark. Are you building up the church or destroying her?
Trust God. The Lord is removing everything we trust in. Israel looked to their own strength
Isaiah 22:8 He removed the [a]protection of Judah. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest;
King Solomon had built up an arsenal here so Israel went to seek for human defense, and in doing this they sinned against God’s remedy which was repentance and seeking the Lord for help
Isaiah 22:12-13 And in that day the Lord God of hosts Called for weeping and for mourning,
For baldness and for girding with sackcloth. 13 But instead, joy and gladness, Slaying oxen and killing sheep, Eating meat and drinking wine: “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”
In 2020 there was a worship movement that started. Immediately I had reservations about it and began praying. The Lord showed me the riots in Seattle and the city woman leading a mob to overtake the police department. It was a rebellious movement. Ps Connie called me and confirmed it. God only receives worship from those whose hearts are right toward Him.
You can build up your arsenal, provide for food, ect. But safety is of the Lord
Proverbs 21:31 31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But deliverance (or safety) is of the Lord.
And if you are storing up for yourself, you are in error- store up to help the church. Take care of God’s house first- days of Haggai the people were selfish taking care of themselves and not attending to the rebuilding of God’s House.
Haggai 1:5-7 Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways!
6 “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages,
Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” 7 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways!
I do not know what is coming, I have seen visions of things and dreams of hard times; and it will be things that will shake you to the core if your trust is not wholly in the Lord. God is removing those things we trust in- food, money, jobs, etc. Here is what I know- He watches over His own. Those who do what He asks, He keeps safe no matter what we have to go through. Follow His specific instructions- if He tells you to stay, then do not move. If He tells you to go then go. But you will only hear His voice as you get your house in order. Live in chaos and rebellion and it only produces confusion and you will confuse His voice for your own, or worse the enemy’s voice
We are not immune from persecution and adversity. Yet, we are not at the mercy of chance. He takes care of His own, always. I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging for bread.
