UNDERSTANDING

UNDERSTANDING

JUDGMENT WITHOUT FULL UNDERSTANDING is unrighteous judgment. There’s a house in foreclosure on my running route, it’s in pretty bad shape and has been neglected. Now, for years the people who used to live there always drove expensive cars. So from all APPEARANCES, these people cared more about looking good, then actually living good. It APPEARS that way to me. This would be unrighteous judgement. I don’t have all the facts, my understanding is limited. Jesus tells us, “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”” John‬ ‭7:24‬ ‭Meaning: before you come to any conclusion about someone or a situation, you better be sure you have FULL understanding. Don’t attack a teacher without full understanding of what happened in class. Do not automatically dislike someone because you “heard” something bad about them. Don’t assume something is “good” because it appears that way.

We really need to learn this lesson in today’s social media world. You cannot believe everything and everyone you see. It’s not always as it seems. Something MAY look a certain way; but you need to get ALL THE FACTS. Don’t be found to be an unrighteous judge. If you do not have full understanding, then just keep your thoughts and your mouth to yourself.  #runyourrace
