IF YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE
an audience to a talking snake, you will eat the fruit of death. Who are you letting whisper in your ear? Do you even recognize the smooth talking voice of the enemy? This is the same enemy that tempted Judas to betray his beloved friend and Savior. This is the same beguiling voice that rose up Absalom against his own father. “For this reason, when I could no longer endure it, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor might be in vain.”

I Thessalonians‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭You are not immune. That old serpent tempted Jesus in the wilderness, but He overcame by the Word. He tempted Job, but Job overcame because He trusted in God’s goodness. Yet, how long did he watch Adam and Eve looking, watching, waiting for the right moment? And at the right time, she gave him an audience. She entertained his lies because it sounded close enough to the truth to be true. But a half-truth is still a lie.

Why is it you cannot recognize the voice of the enemy? There’s a few reasons: satan appears as an angel of light, but his appearance is deceptive; he always twists and manipulates the truth, but speaks a portion of it; he comes as a close friend and confidant and his voice is smooth talking, the only one to know Judas’ betraying heart was Jesus, none of the other disciples saw his true character. We are living in the time of great deception and the enemy is fast at work. He looks like a lamb, but in reality he is a snake, seeking to divide and conquer. Be aware of the smooth talking flatterer. #runyourrace
