ARE YOU WITHOUT SPOT AND BLAMELESS? Peter tells us, “Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;” II Peter‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭IF we are to be found in peace, we must be found without spot and blameless. IF we are to be found without spot and blameless, we must be found being diligent. This word DILIGENT is a highly offensive word to the complacent and lukewarm crowd because diligence by definition means, “to make every effort”; not a some-time thing, but a lifetime thing. Diligence crowds every moment with continuous effort and let’s NO hindrance entangle the feet of the runner. Hence complacency and laziness are the enemies of diligence, and ultimately to one’s soul. Grace is the free gift of God, but once received it doesn’t leave you free to live and do as you please. Grace is the power to be diligent- diligent to overcome, diligent to stay the course, diligent to crucify the old man. “BE DILIGENT TO BE FOUND BY HIM”! Keep oil in your lamps Saints! The time is short. Guard your eyes and ears. Keep your heart free from the pollution of the world. Shake the grave dust off your feet and keep running!
