“WHATEVER KEEPS ME FROM MY BIBLE is my enemy, however harmless it may appear.” AW TOZER said this and he had it right. Idolatry has crept back into the Church. Not the idolatry that our church fathers had to fight against of golden statues and figurines, but another sort of idolatry even more dangerous: an idolatry of thoughts and feelings, “I don’t feel like reading my Bible. I don’t feel like worshiping God. I don’t feel like going to church. I don’t feel like I’m a girl. I don’t feel like God would do that. I don’t feel like I have to submit. I think this is good. I think this is truth. It does not feel good, it must not be of God.”
You see where I’m going with this? You elevate your thoughts and feelings above God’s Word. It’s a dangerous, slippery slope into the fiery pit of hell. It doesn’t matter how you feel, or what you think, God’s Word is truth. Do away with ANY Scripture and you will find your foundation cracked. A structure CANNOT stand on a crumbling foundation. “He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.”
Revelation 19:13 Take away the Bible, and you take away Jesus. The Bible reveals Christ. Do not believe the lie of the enemy! You cannot trust your feelings- live the Word, do the Word even when you don’t feel like it. Do what the Bible says and you will get the Bible results. #runyourrace
