IF I COULD GIVE YOU ANY warning, it would be to be very cautious of the words you are speaking, or for this day and age, the words you are typing/texting. “In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.” Proverbs 10:19 You will be held accountable to the Lord for the words of your mouth.
Words can build up and words can destroy. They have power to give life and power to destroy life. If in your words, you are constantly destroying others, attacking and tearing down another’s character and work; you are sowing destruction for yourself. The Bible repeatedly, throughout the Old and New Testament, warns us to bridle our tongue.
I know my anointing and calling as a teacher, therefore I will be held more responsible for my words; but you make yourself a teacher by what you post on social media and now more will be required of you. Are you causing destruction with your words, either speaking or typing? More is required of you. Are you attacking others? You will reap what you sow. Here’s a few words of advice: if you do not know the whole story; shut up. Better yet, just keep quiet anyway. You are heaping condemnation on yourself by not controlling your mouth and fingers. You are destroying by gossip and slander what God has built up.
“These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.”
